Shopee will delay the launch of cross-border logistics services
According to media reports, Shopee will postpone the opening of the SLS logistics channel, originally scheduled for April 1, 2024, and the adjusted time will be April 22, 2024.
At that time, the platform will automatically open two major SLS logistics channels for sellers with all conditions on the Malaysia site, namely the Self Collection buyer pick-up channel (Shopee Xpress) and the Economy Delivery sea shipping economic channel (Sea Shipping).
It is worth noting that after the store's logistics channel is opened, the seller will not be able to actively close it. However, if it is necessary to adjust the logistics plan according to the actual situation, the logistics channel for a single product can be closed.
The change reflects Shopee’s efforts to strengthen Malaysia’s logistics infrastructure. In addition, Shopee has recently made other logistics moves, such as expanding the scope of fast delivery services in Malaysia. Expanding the coverage of fast delivery services in Malaysia from the Klang Valley area to Johor Bahru, Kulai, Batu Pahat and Kluang.
The expansion enables consumers in these areas to receive delivery within two hours of 9am to 9pm daily. This enables consumers in more areas to enjoy two-hour express delivery services to improve logistics efficiency.
